Laser lipo, cavitation and RF, Southampton

Laser Lipo, Cavitation and RF Body Contouring Southampton

Three advanced body-contouring technologies combined in one treatment

Fat, body contour and skin laxity are not the same problem, so we do not treat them with one technology. Our combined treatment uses laser lipo, ultrasound cavitation and radio frequency skin tightening in three stages within the same appointment, addressing localised stubborn fat, circumference, loose or less-firm skin, cellulite appearance and overall texture together.

  • Laser lipo
  • Ultrasound cavitation
  • Radio frequency skin tightening
  • Non-surgical
  • No needles
  • No anaesthetic
  • Minimal downtime
  • Stubborn fat areas
  • Collagen stimulation
  • Cellulite appearance
  • Clients aged 18+ only

Body contouring is not simply buying a machine and moving a handpiece around. It requires understanding of anatomy, fat distribution, skin laxity, cavitation, RF energy, temperature, contraindications, lymphatic pathways and treatment planning.

Three stages

What the combined treatment involves

Each technology has a different role, and they run in sequence within the same appointment.

1

Laser lipo

Low-level laser technology applied to suitable localised areas through external treatment pads, as part of a non-invasive contouring programme. The aim is to support a reduction in the appearance of stubborn localised fat and improve contour.

There are no incisions, no cannula, no general anaesthetic and no fat is surgically suctioned from the body.

2

Ultrasound cavitation

Low-frequency ultrasound energy used over suitable subcutaneous fat, with the handpiece moved continuously across the area. This stage supports circumference reduction and improvement in localised stubborn areas.

3

Radio frequency

Controlled heating within the skin and underlying tissues, supporting collagen production, skin firmness, improved texture, mild tightening and improved cellulite appearance.

Why RF matters after fat contouring. Reducing circumference is only part of a good result. If a client already has reduced skin elasticity, changing the underlying contour without addressing the skin may not create the appearance they were hoping for. The aim is to support the contour and the skin within one programme.

Love handles and flanks

The waist and flanks can remain resistant even when overall body weight is stable. £85, or £125 combined with the full stomach for a complete midsection treatment.

Upper arms and bingo wings

Loose upper arms usually involve localised fat and reduced skin firmness – precisely where a combined approach helps. £85.

Thighs

The inner thighs in particular develop both localised fat and reduced firmness. Inner, outer or front thighs £95 each, full thighs £135.

Buttocks and under-bum

May help improve contour, skin texture, cellulite appearance and localised fat pockets. £85.

Your appointment

What happens on the day

1

Consultation and measurements

We assess medical history, medication, treatment area, skin condition, amount of localised fat, degree of skin laxity and your goals. Measurements and photographs may be taken for comparison.

2

Laser lipo

The applicators are positioned around the selected area and you relax while the programmed cycle runs.

3

Ultrasound cavitation

A conductive medium is applied and the handpiece is moved systematically across the area.

4

Radio frequency

RF gradually warms the tissues to support collagen stimulation and skin firmness.

5

Post-treatment advice

We discuss hydration, activity and your next appointment.

6

How long it takes

A small area is roughly 45 to 60 minutes, a medium area 60 to 75, and a larger combined area 75 to 90. That includes all appropriate stages rather than rushing through each technology.

Your course

How many treatments, and how often

6 to 12 treatments

Body contouring works as a structured programme, not a single appointment. The number depends on the area, amount of localised fat, skin condition, body composition, goal, lifestyle, hydration and individual response.

Generally once a week

This allows time between appointments for the body to respond. The exact interval depends on the area, treatment intensity, individual recovery, device protocol and medical history.

Not daily

More treatment does not mean better or faster results. The body requires time between sessions, and a properly planned programme matters far more than treating an area as often as possible. We do not increase frequency simply to sell more appointments.

How the body processes change afterwards

This is an area where marketing claims are often exaggerated. Body-contouring treatments do not simply cause visible fat to disappear during the appointment. Following treatment the body must process changes within the treated tissues through its normal physiological pathways – which is exactly why hydration, movement, appropriate intervals, a healthy diet and consistency all matter during a course.

Stay well hydrated before, on the day of, and after treatment, unless you have been medically advised to restrict fluid intake. Light activity such as walking is useful, but you do not need an intense workout after every appointment.

Being straight with you

What this treatment will and will not do

Does it cause weight loss?

No. Laser lipo, cavitation and RF are body-contouring treatments, not weight-loss treatments. The ideal client is relatively close to their desired weight, weight stable, and concerned with specific stubborn areas.

For substantial overall weight loss, diet, physical activity and appropriate healthcare support remain the primary approaches.

Does it permanently remove fat?

We avoid guaranteeing permanent fat removal from non-invasive laser lipo and cavitation. Results vary with the technology, parameters, body area, lifestyle, weight stability and individual physiology, and body shape can change again if weight is gained after treatment.

Will I lose inches?

Some clients experience measurable circumference change during a course, but the amount varies enormously. No responsible clinic can guarantee an exact number of centimetres or inches. We photograph and measure rather than promising a figure.

Will it get rid of cellulite?

The combination of cavitation and RF can help where cellulite is one of the concerns. We describe the goal as reducing the appearance of cellulite, not permanently removing it.

Is it the same as liposuction?

Completely different. Surgical liposuction is a surgical procedure with a cannula inserted beneath the skin, fat physically removed, anaesthesia and a recovery period, and more dramatic reduction is possible.

Ours is non-invasive with no surgery, no cannula, no incisions, no general anaesthetic, little to no downtime and gradual results. We never describe our treatment as equivalent to surgery.

What results can I expect?

Suitable clients may notice improved contour, reduced measurements, a smoother appearance, a more defined waist, improved firmness and texture, and reduced cellulite appearance. Results vary.

Comparisons

How the three technologies differ

Laser lipo versus cavitation

Both are used within contouring programmes but use very different energy. Laser lipo uses low-level light through external pads. Cavitation uses ultrasound through a moving handpiece. We use both because they provide different approaches.

Cavitation versus radio frequency

Cavitation focuses on localised fat and body contour. RF focuses on skin firmness, collagen, elasticity and texture. Combining them makes sense where both fat and skin laxity are present.

Combining with EMS

Where suitable, yes. EMS improves muscle tone, strength and definition, while laser lipo, cavitation and RF focus on contour, localised fat and skin firmness. Together that is a comprehensive body-sculpting programme.

Combining with fat freeze

Potentially. Cryolipolysis works differently, and for suitable clients with a more substantial pinchable fat pocket it may be recommended as part of a wider programme. We decide this at consultation rather than automatically combining every treatment.

Comfort

What it feels like

Laser lipo

Usually little or no sensation at all.

Cavitation

Gentle warmth and pressure from the handpiece, and often a high-pitched or ringing sound within the ears. That internal sound happens because ultrasound energy is being transmitted through the tissues, and it normally stops when the cavitation stage ends.

Radio frequency

Progressively warm. You should not experience severe pain at any stage.

Downtime

Generally little to none, and most clients return to normal activities immediately. Depending on the area, temporary effects may include mild redness, warmth, tenderness, temporary sensitivity, increased urination in some clients and mild soreness in the treated area.

Safety

When this treatment is not suitable

A full consultation and medical history are required before treatment.

Treatment may not be appropriate where there is

  • Pregnancy
  • A pacemaker or implanted electronic device
  • Serious heart conditions
  • Significant liver or kidney disease
  • Active cancer
  • Active infection
  • Open wounds
  • Uncontrolled medical conditions
  • Certain metal implants depending on the RF area
  • Recent surgery
  • Significant vascular disease

Why liver and kidney health matters

Body-contouring treatments involve normal metabolic and clearance processes. Clients with significant liver or kidney disease require appropriate medical consideration and may not be suitable. Always disclose your complete medical history – it is the only way we can keep you safe.

Who this treatment suits

Generally adults who are reasonably close to their target weight, have stubborn localised areas with pinchable subcutaneous fat, want non-surgical treatment, hold realistic expectations, can commit to a course and are willing to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Clients aged 18 and over only.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is included in the treatment?

Three technologies where clinically appropriate: laser lipo, ultrasound cavitation and radio frequency skin tightening.

Why use all three?

They address different aspects. Laser lipo and cavitation form the localised-fat and circumference programme, while RF supports skin firmness, collagen and texture.

What areas can you treat?

Stomach, love handles, flanks, arms, thighs, buttocks, bra-line and back.

How many treatments will I need?

Approximately 6 to 12, depending on the area and your goals.

How often should I come?

Generally once a week, subject to individual assessment and device protocols.

Can I have cavitation every day?

No. More treatment does not mean better or faster results, and the body needs time between sessions.

How long does treatment take?

Approximately 45 to 90 minutes depending on the area.

Does it hurt?

Generally no. The three technologies produce different sensations but treatment should remain comfortable.

Will I lose weight?

No. This is a body-contouring treatment, not a weight-loss programme.

Can it reduce my stomach?

Suitable localised abdominal areas can be treated as part of a contouring programme.

Can it help love handles?

Yes. Love handles and flanks are popular treatment areas.

Can it help cellulite?

It may reduce the appearance of cellulite and improve skin texture. It does not permanently remove it.

Does RF tighten loose skin?

RF creates controlled heating that supports collagen stimulation and mild skin tightening.

Can I have it after weight loss?

Potentially, particularly where stubborn localised areas are combined with mild skin laxity.

Can I have it after pregnancy?

Only once appropriate postpartum recovery has taken place and you are no longer pregnant, subject to consultation.

Is laser lipo the same as surgical liposuction?

No. Our treatment is non-invasive and does not physically suction fat out of the body.

Can I combine it with EMS?

Yes, where suitable. EMS adds a muscle-toning component.

Is there downtime?

Usually very little.

What age do I need to be?

You must be 18 or older, due to our insurance requirements.
